Popular investigative journalist and an antidrug activist, Kemi Olunloyo has taken to her verified handle to make a comment about the presidential candidate of the Labour Party. The controversial journalist remarked that Peter Obi is an ‘Internet President’ which only has a fanbase while Atiku and Tinubu have registered voters.
In another tweet, the 57-year-old daughter of Oyo State ex-Governor Victor Omololu further lectured that the 2023 general election is not an activism but an election. While telling Peter Obi fans to learn from the supporters of Tinubu and Atiku, the social media influencer noted what they are doing is ‘election activism’.
Former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi is one of the prominent presidential candidates alongside the likes other Tinubu and Atiku who are the 2023 flag-bearers of the ruling APC and PDP respectively. He has received huge support from Nigerian youths having won several polls conducted online to determine Nigerians' choice of candidate for the 2023 presidency.
However, many people have always decried the alleged “aggressiveness” of Peter Obi's supporters towards the supporters of other presidential hopefuls. Just recently, Reno Omokri who has endorsed Atiku Abubakar for the presidency lamented that he has never in his life got much insults like he got received from Peter Obi's supporters. It is important to mention that Peter Obi had a series of tweets last month that personally warned his supporters from attacking other candidates.
