ISU BOUNDARY CRISIS— DEPUTY GOVERNOR SUES FOR PEACEFUL RESOLUTION OF ALL BOUNDARY ISSUE.
The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu ( FNSE) yesterday held a strategic meeting with security chiefs aimed at ensuring peace and security in Isu Community in Arochukwu LGA.
The meeting Chaired by the Deputy Governor as the Chairman of Abia State Boundary Commission, resolved to engage the neighboring community of Ukwa in Odukpani LGA of Cross Rivers State and the National Boundary Commission for a joint delineation/ demarcation process which will bring about a permanent solution to the boundary issue between the two communities.
Heads of State Security agencies present at the meeting were; Commissioner Of Police, Abia State, the Commander Of 14 Army Brigade Ohafia, the DSS, the Homeland Security and other Security Heads in the State, the Member Representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa as well as other stakeholders in attendance.
