Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has stated that he was deceived into granting permission for his child, Vivian Jenna Wilson (formerly Xavier), to undergo puberty blockers. Musk made this claim during a live interview with psychologist Jordan Peterson, stating that he was misled into signing documents due to a lack of understanding and the pressure of a potential suicide threat.

Vivian, born in 2004, is Musk's transgender daughter who officially changed her name and gender in 2022. She has been open about her strained relationship with her father, citing disagreements over her political views.

Musk's comments come as he relocates SpaceX's headquarters from California, citing the state's new legislation allowing schools to keep a child's sexual orientation or gender identity confidential from their parents.
