Abia State Deputy Governor's Office Dismisses Allegations of Imposed Councillorship Candidate

The Office of the Deputy Governor of Abia State has responded to accusations made by Hon. Kalu Mba Nwoke, Member Representing Ohafia South State Constituency, claiming that Deputy Governor Engr Ikechukwu Lekwachi Emetu imposed a councillorship candidate on Ohafor Ward in Ohafia LGA.

According to Sir Cyril Chukwudi Eke Mba, KSJI, Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, these allegations are baseless and aim to discredit the Deputy Governor's commitment to democratic values. The Deputy Governor has always championed transparency, fairness, and democracy, allowing the people to choose their leaders freely.

Hon. Kalu Mba Nwoke's history of using derogatory language and spreading misinformation has earned him disdain among his constituents. His actions are seen as divisive and self-serving, causing harm to the community.

The public is advised to disregard Hon. Kalu Mba Nwoke's accusations and focus on constructive dialogue. The Deputy Governor's office encourages stakeholders to respect the will of the people and engage in democratic processes.

The Deputy Governor's office stated that Hon. Kalu Mba Nwoke should concentrate on delivering on his legislative mandate, managing the controversy and damages he caused in Ohafia, rather than spreading falsehood.
