MIRACLE SURVIVAL: Military Officer Escapes IPOB Gunmen Attack
A former military officer serving in the Defense Intelligence Agency, Abuja, has expressed gratitude to God Almighty for saving his life after a harrowing encounter with suspected IPOB gunmen.
On Friday, January 31, 2025, while traveling from Ibadan to his unit in Uyo, the officer was ambushed by seven gunmen along Umulolo Road. Despite sustaining a gunshot wound to the head and multiple shots to his vehicle, he managed to escape.
Troops deployed at the Umulolo/Okigwe junction provided swift first aid before rushing him to the hospital. The officer is now stable and responding to treatment.
This near-death experience serves as a stark reminder of the dangers our military personnel face daily. We salute their courage and sacrifice, and we urge everyone to exercise caution while traveling.
